Why subscribe?

There are lots of great sources for you to keep up to date with the latest news and stats of the Bundesliga, but smart, informed, insightful, analytical, all encompassing German football coverage is HARD to find.

Sure you can read your German football Bible/kicker magazine, check out the gifs on Twitter, gaze at the XG maps or even read the growing number of excellent tactical analyses, but what does it all mean? As everyone is competing for your very valuable attention, allow me to throw my hat in the ring and try to see more clearly:

We will start each edition with the Headlines: the biggest stories of the weekend put in perspective, as well as the most important games analyzed in depth. If you are just getting into the German football game, this newsletter is also definitely for you, but if you already know the ins and outs of Bruno Labbadia’s 4-3-3 pressing schemes you’re still more than welcome and hopefully will benefit from the insights. What if I have no idea who Vincenzo Grifo is, or what Makoto Hasebe’s role is at Frankfurt, much less the buildup play of Hannes Wolf at HSV? Don’t worry, we’ll only cover those on week 4 :)

Each week, I will also try to provide some player scouting, recruitment advice, tactical breakdowns, present some unsung heroes, and add some background info on the personnel\player moves. Eventually, it is my desire to include interviews with players\executives\journalists\experts of German football, in different formats (audio\video\text).

Okay, I get all of that, but why should I subscribe to YOURS? I’ll explain:

Why do it?

As someone whose lifelong football interest has become his job, thanks to his blogging\Twitter, I’m eternally grateful for all the people that have helped me on this journey. At the same time, due to my studio analyst job at Hungary’s Sport TV and various other German football assignments, I don’t always have the time to properly express my thoughts on Twitter and certainly not in English. This newsletter will hopefully be a great opportunity for me to do that and a kind of personal challenge to present to you the outcomes of the week’s matches (of which I usually break down 6-7), as well as to peel back the curtain on what makes the Bundesliga such an entertaining league.

How often ?

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox, mostly on Mondays\early Tuesdays.

Spread the word!

So if that sounds like it’s up your alley, or perhaps you’ve got some friends who need help with their FM save, as Sandhausen make their run to the UCL, do subscribe and tell them about this newsletter.

You can check out my profile\work here: and of course reach me on Twitter or Facebook

Thank you,

Abel
